Buenos Aires

Evita Tour

A magical tour with the uncensored version of Evita's history.
Now you can learn more about this legendary woman with this tour that will take you to:
- The CGT (Main Labour Union).
- May Square's Balcony (where she gave outstanding speeches to the descamisados)
- Our Lady of Pilar Basilica.
- La Recoleta Cemetery: Evita's Mausoleum.

Day at a typical Argentine ranch

You would be leaving at 9.30 am, travelling to a sophisticated yet typical Argentine ranch in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, where you would spend the day learning about life in the countryside, enjoying shows and a traditional Argentine barbecue, that includes the local empanadas
Should you want to see some of the traditional Argentine countryside, a visit to a ranch (estancia in Spanish) is certainly worth your time.
Cost: USD50 per person.
The cost includes: transportation from and to hotel and ranch as well as the typical lunch.



Dinner and show in Buenos Aires' top tango restaurant

Esquina Carlos Gardel, located in the Abasto, opposite what used to be the central fruit and vegetables market in the city and currently serves as a shopping mall.
This restaurant is one of, if not the best place for a tango show, since it is located in the city's tango area par excellence, where the well-known singer Carlos Gardel - known as "The dark-haired guy from Abasto") lived most of his life.

Ópera Pampa

This excursion begins with a traditional Argentine dinner at La Rural, after which you will witness an exciting show about the gaucho's epic adventure and his traditions, from the arrival of the horse in the Americas until the birth of the Argentine nation.
Ópera Pampa is a dynamic and uninterrupted succession of fascinating scenes portraying different historical times and memorable events in the history of the Americas and mainly concerning Argentine history.
The show integrates numerous artistic expressions: folklore dances, musicians, singers, equestrian displays, fixed and moving stages, live and pre-recorded music and songs, and light and sound effects, among other features.
A brochure in English with a synopsis of the show will be handed to you upon arrival.

Boca Tango

Imagine a trip through the time machine to Buenos Aires of yesteryear, to the tune of tango, in the heart of La Boca, enjoying an integrated package of services and attractions in a single place.
Boca Tango offers a complete 3-hour program that includes lunch or dinner in a country style restaurant, for a taste of the best local meals; a stroll along a barrio with a stage play that recreates the lifestyle of conventillo dwellers; a vintage café; a wine cellar; a spectacular tango show and a safe shopping area.
A memorable experience at the first theme promenade in town.

Night-time city tour

Starting at 7 pm, this tour is meant for you to see and appreciate the "lights of the city".
Including spectacular views of Plaza de Mayo, Puerto Madero, the Lola Mora Monument and the glamorous Avenida del Libertador as the main highlights.
You will also visit the neighbourhood of Recoleta where you will discover the many sidewalks cafés, restaurants, pubs and discotheques, in an area that certainly is one of the main night life spots in the city.

Bike tour

Lasting approximately 3 ?-4 hours, this tour allows you to ride on bike path where available, avoiding traffic when possible, through the main neighbourhoods: Puerto Madero, the Reserva Ecológica (an area close to the city where nature and environment are preserved), La Boca (with its particular style that reflects the migratory influx and whose Caminito is a must for all tourists that visit Buenos Aires), San Telmo and Plaza San Martín amongst others.
Cost: USD35 per person.
The cost includes: bikes (from a fleet of Beach Cruisers with super comfortable seats), helmet, medical assistance, a bottle of mineral water and a souvenir.
You can book this activity for any day of the week, starting either at 9.30am or at 2pm.


City tour and Tierra Santa

This excursion lasts 6 ? hours, during which you will discover the beauty and wonders of Buenos Aires, visit the National Congress, The Metropolitan Cathedral next to the Pink House in the May Square area. Admire the Colón Theater, one of the most important opera houses in Latin America and the world.
Visit San Telmo, traditional neighborhood where Tango performances can be seen in many bars and restaurants. Stop at La Boca, colourful neighbourhood, which was, seat of immigrants - mainly Italians - and now home of some artists.
Enjoy Palermo, an area that combines its architecture and history with entertainment and amusement in its green spaces. Finally, La Recoleta, an exclusive and elegant neighbourhood where the famous cemetery is found. Although it may seem unusual, fashionable restaurants, bars, cafés, discos and a cinema complex also surround the area.

Guided tour to Tigre and Tren de la Costa

A pleasant journey along the River Plate's coast and through beautiful residential areas in Buenos Aires: private neighbourhoods, sailing clubs, marinas and slips.
The enchantment of the renewed old English train stations allows visitors to enjoy one of the most modern trains in the country and a great variety of entertainments.
This commercial area has movie theatres, restaurants of different style and menus, and many stores.

Tigre Full Day (only on Sundays)

Visit the traditional San Telmo flea market where street shows are unique handicraft exhibitions can be seen only once a week.
Take a journey in the modern Coastline train connecting Olivos, San Isidro and Delta.
Have lunch at a typical barbecue restaurant where you can taste Argentine meat cuts.
Pasta and salad bar also available (drinks included).
Continue the trip up to Delta station where you will board a Catamaran to sail throughout the magnificent Delta of the Paraná river.

Boat trip

Three-hour excursion during which you will navigate along the Río de la Plata, with the best view of Buenos Aires as well as an excellent cuisine on board.

This activity is available from Monday to Saturday, starting at 9.15.
You can also do this excursion together with a city tour on the same days at the same time, lasting for six hours instead of three and with a cost of USD50 per person.


Hot-Air Balloon

This ride takes place either at dawn or at sunset, since it is at that time that allows for better weather conditions.
The balloon flies over the Capilla del Señor area, only 90 kilometres away from Buenos Aires for about an hour and a half, including the take-off and landing manoeuvring.
From above, you can appreciate the wonderful scenery of the pampas while enjoying a unique, quiet and moving experience.
Cost: from USD100 per person
Activity subject to weather conditions, can be cancelled until 5pm the day before.
Please note that this excursion takes place in an Argentine ranch (estancia) and the above-mentioned cost does not include a day at the estancia nor the transport to and from it.

Iguazú

Full day excursion in Argentine Iguazú Falls

Leaving at 8am, this excursion allows you to fully appreciate the magnificent Iguazú Falls. Starting from the highest viewpoint, where you can observe not only the waterfalls but also the Iguazú River Delta and its islands. Then, descending and strolling about the numerous catwalks, you will experience different views of the waterfalls from inside the jungle. Other highlights included in this excursion are: The 'Devil's Throat' (Garganta del Diablo in Spanish) and the 'Jungle Train' (Tren de la Selva in Spanish), an ecological train circuit in the middle of the jungle, skirting the Iguazú River that allows the visitors to travel within the Park.

Half-day excursion in Brazilian Iguazú Falls

Since 90% of the waterfalls are on the Argentine side of the river, the Brazilian National Park has one 1000-metre long catwalk from which you will certainly have an excellent panoramic view of all the waterfalls.
This excursion begins daily at 7am and 2pm except Monday mornings.
Cost: USD20 per person
Transportation to and from hotel included.
National Park's entrance fee excluded.


Great Adventure

This excursion lasts approximately one hour and starts at the Iguazú Port, opposite the San Martín Island.
Semi-rigid rubber dinghies will allow you to reach the Argentine and Brazilian waterfalls and the 'Devil's Throat' Canyon.
An 8-kilometer downstream navigation finishes at Port Macuco, where you can enjoy an hour long walk along the Yacaratiá path.
This excursion is not reccommended for people with heart conditions nor for pregnant women.
Cost: USD40 per person

Bariloche

Victoria Island and Arrayanes Forest

Leaving from Port Pañuelo, you will navigate and observe snow-covered mountains and a lush forest.
Crossing the transparent Nahuel Huapi waters, you reach the Victoria Island, with a forest full of pine, coihue and birched trees and a wide range of fauna species, such as the local 'pudu pudu' antylope, golden pheasants and red deer.
The navigation leads to the Quetrihue peninsula, hallmark of the well-known Arrayanes forest, unique for its extension, density and diversity of tree species, where you can witness the beauty of the 'arrayán' trees covered with white flowers or simply by snow.
As the night falls over the Andes mountain range, you will be returning to Port Pañuelo.
The cost per person is USD48


Puerto Best/Cántaros Waterfall/Lago Frías

You will sail from Puerto Pañuelo, probably accompanied by the seagulls eager to feed of the morsels given to them by the passengers. After entering the Blest effluent you will navigate past the Centinela Island where the body of Perito Moreno, the founder of Argentina's National Parks, rests.
After an hour of navigation you will reach Puerto Cántaros where you can enter the Vadivina Forest along an ascending footpath that leads you to the Los Cántaros lagoon whose water feeds the homonym waterfall. On your way back you will cross Bahía and continue your journey to Puerto Alegre where you will board a ferry and sail the Frías Lake through a landscape filled with the surrounding forest and the majestic white shape of the Tronador Mountain. You will then return to Puerto Blest from where you will go back to Bariloche.
Including transportation to and from hotel, its cost is: USD45 per person.


Circuito Chico (Small Circuit)

This activity begins in Bariloche, driving along Bustillo Avenue and contemplating the majestic Nahuel Huapi lake. After 8 kilometers, at Playa Bonita, you will see the Huemul Island and after travelling for 10 more kilometers, you will arrive at the foot of the Campanario Hill.
Once you are there, a ski lift will take you 1050 metres above sea level, where you can observe: the Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno lakes, the Trébol lagoon, the San Pedro Peninsula, Victoria Island, the city of San Carlos de Bariloche and the following hills: López, Goye, Otto and Catedral.
You will later cross the Angostura River whose bridge unites the Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes. After that, you will be taken to the panoramic viewpoint and finally head back to the city.
This half-day activity is available every day, leaving at 8.30.

Catedral Hill

This hill was named Catedral (cathedral in English) due to its similarity with a gothic cathedral.
The excursion begins travelling from Bariloche to Villa Catedral, at the foot of the likewise named hill.
During winter, this location is visited by winter-sport enthusiasts and international skiers.
This half-day activity is available from Tuesday to Saturday, leaving at 13.30.
Cost: USD10 per person.
Transportation to and from hotel included.


Tronador Mountain

Tronador is the most famous mountain in the "Lake District" in Argentina. A massive eroded volcano with some huge glaciers and ice falls. There are three peaks, Pico Internacional (3491 metres above sea level, Pico Argentino (3300 metres above sea level) and Pico Chileno (3320 metres above sea level).
When taking the national route number 258, until you reach a split in the road you will enter the national route number 254 and the road that will lead you to the Tronador.
You shall pass the shores of the Gutiérrez Lake and then the horseshoe shaped Mascardi Lake also known as the Lake of the Seven Colours. In Pampa Linda you will have a stop-over where lunch can be enjoyed. The trip culminates a bit further at the foot of the Tronador Mountain. From this point, you can walk until reaching the edge of the "black" glacier El Ventisquero. This glacier has its origin in the "blanco inmaculado" at the top of the Tronador Mountain.
Returning by the same road, you will be reaching the city at about 18.30 hs.

San Martín de los Andes por los Siete Lagos

Driving for 20 km along route 237, and taking the route 231 along a winding road through century-old forests full of lenga, cypress and coihue trees along the north shore of the Nahuel Huapi Lake you will reach Villa la Angostura. A few kilometers further you can drive along the Road of the Seven Lakes passing through the following lakes: Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner and Machónico until reaching San Martín de los Andes after driving along the coast of the Lacar Lake.
After stopping for lunch you will go back via route 231 until it meets route 63. Driving along the coast of the picturesque Lake Meliquina and the river with the same name you will reach Casa de Piedra. A short stop will enable you to visit it with ease. After this, the journey continues along the Córdoba-pass until reaching route 237 at Confluencia.
On this trip you will be able to appreciate the various silhouettes constituted by the numerous rock formations.
This is a full day activity available from March to October that starts at 08.00 and lasts until 19.00 with a cost of USD35 per person that departs daily, weather permitting.


El Bolsón


El Bolsón and Puelo Lake is a full day activity, available from October to March, leaves daily, wheater permitting, at 09.00 and ends at 18.00 with a cost of USD25 per person.
South of Bariloche, at the 130km marker on route 258 lies the municipality of El Bolsón. There is a tarred road that runs along the coastlines of the following lakes: Gutiérrez, Mascardi and Guillermo crossing the rivers Villegas, Foyel and then the Quemquentreu. This excursion also includes a visit to a trout breeding facility, a beer factory, a sweets factory and, once you reach El Bolsón, it is essential to visit the local craftsmarket. 16Km away lies the Puelo Lake and a further 11km the small town of El Hoyo.

El Calafate

Perito Moreno Glacier

After travelling 90 kilometres you will reach the front of this 30,000 year-old glacier. Due to its age, the four-kilometre stretch of ice at water level has a characteristic dark blue colour.
The imposing silence is only interrupted by the thundering sound of the far away loosening of ice that floats in the Canal de los Témpanos.
You will return to El Calafate along the coast of the Lago Rico.

Upsala and Onelli Glaciers

After travelling from the hotel to Punta Bandera, point where southern and northern branches of the Argentine Lake meet, you will sail along the northern branch.
During this journey, you will see the marvelous mountains and ice floes until you reach a panoramic viewpoint of the Upsala Glacier.
Afterwards, you continue until Onelli bay and after a short walk you will appreciate the Onelli and Agassis glaciers.

Minitrekking over the Perito Moreno Glacier

This excursion begins on board, cruising over Brazo Rico from the Magellan Peninsula to the opposite coast, where you shall disembark and walk along the coast until the south margin of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
The passengers must wear metallic latch plates under their footwear. The guides will assist you on this and also will teach you how to walk on ice.
This minitrekking is ideal for taking photographs due to the magnificent landscape.
After the walk, you will return trekking through the woods where you will witness lenga and ñire.

Ushuaia

City tour

This excursion begins opposite the harbour, along Maipú Avenue until you reach the commercial city centre where most of the settlers' houses are located. You will also see a replica of the Beacon of the End of the World as well as the old jail.
After taking the Gobernador Paz street you will reach Paseo del Centenario, a panoramic viewpoint from which you will see the mountains surrounding the city as well as the islands on the other side of the Beagle Channel.
Once you reach sea level, you will see the Saint Christopher ship and learn all about it.
You will go through La Pasarela, a narrow road in between the sea to reach the other side of the bay, next to La Misión (first European settlement in Tierra del Fuego). You will stop there at a panoramic viewpoint at a local club, where you can also enjoy a cup of coffee and the magnificent view.
Then you will be returning, surrounding the bay, arriving at the starting point after seeing some other historically relevant sites.

National Park

Tierra del Fuego National Park was created in 1969 with the aim of protecting the portion of subantarctic forests farthest south together with the Beagle Channel. Its total surface is 63.000 has.
This park, unlike other Andean-Patagonian forests, possesses forests close to the sea coast. It is crossed by paralel mountain ranges in a north west to south east direction dividing the park in valleys of difficult access.
The central part of lake Fagnano that drains into the Pacific ocean is specially protected in the park.
In the south of the park is lake Roca, and in front of it mounts Cóndor and Guanaco. Lake Roca drains to the short and turbulent Lapataia river that flows into the sea through Lapataia bay. The name "lapataia" means wooded bay, or wood bay in Yamana language.
The flora is formed by big trees with predominant species like Ñire, Lenga and Guindo, a tall evergreen tree.
A great variety of birds is associated to these forests, like the Giant Woodpecker and the Cotorra Austral, as well as sea birds like Albatrosses, Kelp Geese, and Steamer Ducks, and also mammals like Red and Grey Foxes, Guanacos, and Sea Otters, a threatened species.

Isla de los Lobos & Isla de los Pájaros

Leaving at the local harbour, you will sail along the Ushuaia Bay until you reach the Beagle Channel through Paso Chico.
During the excursion you will be able to appreciate the magnificent views of the Channel, the city of Ushuaia and its surrounding mountains.
You will also visit the islands de los Lobos and de los Pájaros, from the Bridges' archipelago, where you will see a cormorant rookery as well as other sea birds, such as ducks, seagulls, petrels among others.
Finally, you will arrive at the Les Eclaireurs Beacon.
Sailing back along the north coast of the Beagle Channel, appreciating some historical sites such as Estancia Túnel as well as appreciating the local flora.
Cost: USD50 per person.


Penguin Rookery & Haberton ranch

You will be sailing from the local harbour to Paso Chico, entering the Beagle Channel that will impress you with its islands, landscapes and bird species.
After visiting the islands de los Lobos and de los Pájaros, you will get to the Les Eclaireurs Beacon, unique witness of the sinking on the Monte Cervantes in 1930.
You will also sail opposite the Estancia Remolino, where the partly-sunken Sarmiento ship is since 1912.
Once you have seen Puerto Almanza, you will head to Martillo Island through Paso Mackinlay, where you will see a Magellanic penguin rookery.
Continuing with the excursion, you will get to the Haberton ranch and visit this historical settlement.
Cost: USD70 per person


Train to the End of the World

Leaving from the Plaza Cívica, you will travel by bus along National Route N°3 until the End of the World station, 8 kilometres west of the city.
From there, you will travel by a train along one of the paths the former prisoners walked daily.
Not only will you see historical woods, rivers and valleys, but also the Macarena cascade.
The last part of the train tour will allow you to enter the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Cost: USD30 per person (this does not include entrance to National Park)
